This expansion module allows the Cisco Nexus switch to be configured as cost-effective Gigabit Ethernet switches and as I/O consolidation platforms with native Fiber Channel connectivity. The UP LEM provides many Gigabit Ethernet and FCoE ports using the SFP+ interface or up to twenty ports of native Fiber Channel connectivity using 8 and 4G SFP+ and SFP interfaces.
